CLUB HOUSE
A unique place combining the official store and a bodega for supporters
We’ve christened this place, the “home of the UBB”, the Club House. It’s an obvious name, whether it’s part of the daily lives of rugby players and women who are now club members, or whether it evokes the fondest memories of 3rd halves for sports fans of all generations.
At the Club House, the game will be played every day at home, with a catering service available for lunch and dinner, both on weekdays and weekends. Seven screens will broadcast UBB matches, rugby and sport in general, in a warm atmosphere both indoors and on the terrace, which will benefit from the exceptional view over the quays of Bordeaux.
CLUB HISTORY
Union Bordeaux Bègles was created in 2006 following the merger of two of Gironde’s leading rugby clubs, Stade Bordelais and CABBG, which had won 9 French championship titles in their long history.
When Laurent Marti took over the reins of the UBB in 2007, the club was still in the PRO D2 division. Union Bordeaux Bègles reached the top flight in 2011 (TOP 14), and by 2014 had attracted the highest attendance of any rugby club in France (2013), then in Europe (2015), a status the club still holds with an average of 24,500 fans at the Stade Chaban-Delmas in 2019, the year in which the club topped the league table before the health crisis brought the competition to an abrupt halt.
